Shameless Brag: Fantasy for Good

I can now officially announce that I will have a story in the new charity anthology, Fantasy for Good, due out later this year.

I’m going to be sharing a table of contents with some of my favorite authors. David Farland co-taught one of the first professional writing workshops I took. Neil Gaiman has written some of my all-time favorite fiction. I grew up reading Piers Anthony and Alan Dean Foster. The adult me is excited to be sharing a set of covers with Nnedi Okorafor, Jay Lake, and Michael Moorcock, whose work I always find very interesting, and the rest of the “name” authors are nobody to sneeze at (you probably have all heard of that George R.R. Martin character). Plus, a number of folks who I’ve been climbing the ranks with have also just been announced. I feel like I’m in good company.

This is officially the happiest I’ve ever been to not be paid for a story.

So please, everyone, spread the word and buy a copy when it comes out, because the better it sells, the bigger a deduction I can get away with claiming. 🙂
